USA Today parent sues OpenAI, alleging unauthorized training of its models on hundreds of thousands of news articles and seeking more than $250 million
USA Today Co., the parent of USA Today and formerly Gannett, sued OpenAI in the Southern District of New York on October 8, alleging that it used hundreds of thousands of articles from 19 of its newspapers without authorization to train its GPT models, and seeking more than $250 million in damages.
